He has a doctorate in psychology from Northcentral University and a master's in counseling Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Emery sees adults and older adults in individual therapy. He specializes in anger management, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, and men’s issues. As the son of a Veteran, he has a special interest in working with Veterans and their families and has been a Community Care provider for the VA since 2016. Dr. Emery works with his patients to provide them with the guidance they need to make the necessary changes in their life. He uses cognitive behavioral therapies and solution focused therapies to help his patients move towards their goals and achieve their desired outcome. Dr. Emery also has a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Science and Technology with a specialization in Aviation from Thomas A. Edison State College. In addition, Dr. Emery has been a professor since 1977 when he first taught flight instruction at Embry Riddle University. Today he is a professor of psychology at Baker College Online. Dr. Emery is a Diplomate of the National Anger Management Association, a co-founder of Applied Positive Psychology, a member of Aviation Psychology Association, Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, Positive Psychology Association and Children's Advocacy Center Association.

In today's society getting help for your struggles is not usually a priority in our busy lives. I strive to make getting help as easy and as accessible as possible by providing in person sessions that can be in your home or in community. I also provide teletherapy session if that works better for your schedule. I believe that therapy is an important part of becoming the person that your pet thinks you are! I utilize cognitive behavioral, client centered, reality, relational and solution focused therapies. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families with relationship issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment concerns, school issues, parenting and postpartum challenges.
